About Thalia Milano

Let’s connect so we can connect the dots!

Hi! My name is Thalia Milano. When I was just 6 years old, I moved from Lima, Peru to Walnut Creek California. I landed in a kindergarten classroom without knowing one word of English. As a result, from a young age I was sensitive to the different learning needs of those around me. My mother was a Montessori teacher, and thus started my passion for teaching.

I have been working in an elementary school classroom for the past 17 years. I have a Multiple Subject Credential and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Environmental Instruction for grades K-5. Additionally, I am the mother of 4 incredible children ages 8, 6, 4, and 1. I can understand and empathize and relate to many of the obstacles families are facing both in and out of the classroom. Being both a parent and teacher, I decided to create the Full Circle Method.

As an elementary school teacher, I had a passion for writing curriculum to make learning more joyful. This passion led me to create many hands-on immersive programs that are still in place in the schools that I have left.  Some of these programs include, Trout in the classroom, Kids Turning Green, Social Justice Curriculum, and hundreds of lesson plans. As a result of my Project Based Learning approach to learning, one year I took my first grade classroom on 8 different field trips through different areas of Marin County. Some of these families still attribute their child’s early habits of eating “greens” to the trip to Green Gulch Farm in Muir Beach.

A goal of the Full Circle Method is to find what brings you and your child joy. It is through this sense of joy and self discovery, that all the learning can happen.
